Have the option to choose which files the program will search for (.jpeg, .doc, .zip, etc.). And also stop trying to connect to the internet everytime I launch the program. Also a brief sentence description below each of the 4 options would help so I

Have a dirctory tree to follow rather than attack an entire partition. I dloaded it for the express purpose to try to rocover specific damages files in a folder I knew. Intead it has a clock telloing me it will be 3hrs in scanning a full partition fo

Right-clicm menu (optional instal perhaps) to choose the desired files to recover, multilang support, Better interface supporting scrolling by folders/files in order to choose what to recover, perhaps a seperate icon for the recycle bin.

Be able to use this from USB flash drive OR USB ext drive! If Windows is deleted, we can't use this to recover anything.

Last time I had a problem, I accidently deleted my partitions even, so being able to recover from an outside source became extremely important! In fact, being able to run it in DOS would be even better. If it can't recover a whole system, it seems...

See if the program can make a determination on file / data recovery.

As stated before, most of your users, want to be able to locate just one file. But as doing data recovery, sometimes it is best to scourer the partition to locate all the data. Remember people sometimes the file maybe fragmented and has to locate...

be able to have a more basic recovery added also. If you know that the file was recently deleted and should be easy to find, a quicker, simpler fast scan would be a nice addition.

If a quick and simple scan option was available, that might save alot of time instead of doing a deep scan. You could use Windows' recovery setup, but that is very unreliable, it would help to just be able to depend on this program for all...

Based on older 3.8.1 version, stop asking for a confirmation (or allow us to turn it off) when I go back to the home page, exit program or do anything else. Unless I'm using a flakey touchpad on laptop, my mouse does what I want it to do.

Make it show what it has found whilst it is scanning

Whilst performing the scan is it possible to make the software display what it has found. Then we could click cancel and allow it to restore the file at that point.

see the software auto scan drives currently there, and then ask for a recovery option.

I would like to see the software automatically scan the hard drives for items in the trash or shadowed copies, and then ask to recover them first. If a drive is bad, I would like to see it do a sector by sector scan and recovery.

Have it ask if I want It to go online, because..

sometimes a system is so delicate at that point, that trying to go online could freeze the system or cause more damage. Can't this access the directories so we can quickly find a certain thing or 2 that we are needing? Once I needed some parts...

have someone write your documentation and ad text who speaks the language. Oddly, there are many people who speak English who would rewrite your copy for your software, so you wouldn't really have to pay them.

Ease of use and simplicity are the selling points for this: it's so easy my ferret could run the proggie. My suggestion for 'improvement': don't change anything but what you feel is absolutely necessary.

Have the software install on a USB stick

Installed OK on hard drive; a portable version would be nice;once installed on my drive it recognized that and would not go to my USB stick for a portable version; that would be very handy.
